A COMPREHENSIVE PHARMACOGNOSTIC REVIEW ON ENDANGERED MEDICINAL PLANTS IN WESTERN COSTAL REGION OF INDIA

ABSTRACT

An Endangered medicinal plants is species which has been categorised as likely to become extinct. Western Ghat contains variety of plant which has medicinal uses. As consider herbal drugs and allopathic drugs, herbal drugs are have less side effect, Allopathic drugs are give more precise effect but, they have dangerous side effect too. When given in life threatening diseases but, as herbal plants have minimum side effects we can use in the treatment. In this project information of plants having Anticancer and Antidiabetic effect we can use them in treatment of diseases but they are endangers plant so, we have to increase their number by conservation of this plants. By conservation this plant we can take the various diseases in low cost as compared to with Allopathy treatment it along with it helps to increased biodiversity, decreased pollution and globalization.
